Diddy Apologizes for Assaulting Ex-Girlfriend Cassie

In a heartfelt video apology, Sean “Diddy” Combs admitted to assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie in a hotel hallway in 2016. The confession came after CNN released security footage of the incident. In the video posted to Instagram and Facebook, Diddy expressed deep regret, stating, “I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now.”

The disturbing video shows Combs, clad only in a white towel, punching and kicking Cassie, who was his protege and longtime girlfriend. He is also seen shoving and dragging her, and throwing a vase in her direction. Cassie, whose legal name is Cassandra Ventura, had sued Combs in November over years of alleged abuse. The lawsuit, settled the next day, has brought significant scrutiny and additional lawsuits against Combs, along with a federal criminal sex-trafficking investigation.

In his video apology, Combs appeared somber and reflective, admitting the difficulty of confronting his past actions. “It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that,” he said. Diddy shared that he has sought professional help and is committed to becoming a better person, emphasizing, “I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.” This marks his first direct response to the allegations that have jeopardized his reputation and career.
