Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell is seeking medical assistance following an onstage altercation with guitarist Dave Navarro. The 65-year-old rock singer, struggling with tinnitus and throat issues, has scheduled consultations with specialists to address his health. His wife, Etty Lau Farrell, revealed via Instagram that they are taking time for reflection and healing, expressing confidence in Perry’s recovery and return to music.
The altercation, which occurred during a Boston concert on Sept. 13, saw Farrell physically lash out at Navarro, escalating tensions within the band. Fans witnessed Farrell slam into Navarro and attempt to throw a punch before being escorted offstage. Etty explained that the singer’s frustrations had been building due to excessive stage volume and audience complaints.
Three days after the incident, Jane’s Addiction canceled their U.S. tour, citing concern for Farrell’s mental health and safety.
